Poetry: Campus, Ekehuan

.
i
What a joyful coming I
Had of it:
Placement in effect of homage
Causally paid at the fringe realm
Of its royal chancellor;
ii
Orphaned, indigent but resolute
To turn these odds to good
Of little known a dream flickered, alas.
iii
Sooner than sighted from afar,
Its charming allure faded at close-up in spell
Disappearance act of a winding flimsy-pool
Playful sun has gouged there,
Mirage!
iv
Now an academic jetsam on pallid side way,
Cast off for invalid lesser passer.
Dream came to nought,
And I was downcast in tears for the painful departure.
