2019: Atiku's presidency only a dream - Lauretta Onochie taunts.

While incumbent Muhammed Buhari emerged APC's presidential candidate with over 14 millions party loyalists; on the other hand, former VP Atiku Abubakar has also emerged the flag bearer of the opposition the peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

So you could say the forthcoming presidential election is poised between the two who interestingly are from the north.

Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal assistant on social media, has bashed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

She took to social media, shortly after the declaration of the result, to claim that Atiku’s emergence as his party’s flagbearer had made the job of the president’s team easier, Punch reports.

The presidential aide further claimed that Atiku ran away from the All Progressives Congress to avoid contesting against Buhari in the primary; and that the former vice president out-spent his co-contestants before clinching his party’s ticket.

She stated: “Alhaji Atiku Abubakar outspends Saraki, Tambuwal and others, wins the PDP presidential ticket for 2019.

“Congratulations Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. You have outspent the rest. You have a new toy. But believe it, it is only a dream.

“You ran away from facing President Buhari in a primary, now you’ll meet him at the presidential elections. Ntor!

“14.8 million people made President Buhari their candidate, 26,584 people made Atiku their candidate.

“Bearing in mind that you can’t go to America to represent us at the United Nations, nor meet with Nigerians in America, our job is made easy.

“Say Baba Buhari. 2019 is settled. God bless Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, President Buhari's campaign organisation had reacted to the emergence of former vice president Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement signed by Festus Keyamo, director, strategic communications, President Muhammadu Buhari campaign organisation, on Sunday, October 7, Atiku was accused of vote buying.
